Save the pictures inside a PDF
Every picture the pages hold is saved at the size it is stored at, not the size it is shown, and a picture used on several pages is saved once. One picture comes as a file; several come in a zip.

How to do it
- Open your PDF, open More ways to export and choose Save pages as pictures.
- Under What to save, choose The pictures in them, then PNG or JPEG.
- Press Save pictures.
You do not have to take our word for it
-
Watch the network
The "Nothing is uploaded" button in the app opens a list of every other site the page has contacted since you opened it, and how often, taken from the browser's own record. Your browser's developer tools show every request, this site's own included.
-
Pull the plug
Once the app has loaded, turn off your network and keep working. Text recognition, the document converter and the handwriting fonts work offline too after their first use.
-
Redaction that removes
A page with something blacked out is saved as a picture of itself, so the text under the box is gone, and every redacted page is checked before the file is saved.
Questions
- Are the pictures saved in full quality?
- They are saved as the PDF holds them, at their own size. PNG loses nothing; JPEG is smaller for photographs.
- What about a page that is all text?
- Text is not a picture, so nothing is saved for it. To save whole pages as pictures, choose Whole pages instead.
- Is it free?
