Merge PDF files without uploading them
Put several PDFs together into one, and pictures or Word, Excel and PowerPoint files with them. Drag the pages into the order you want before you download. The files are combined in your browser and are not uploaded.
Yes. Merge PDF is one of the everyday tools, free forever, with no account and no watermark. Pricing
How to do it
- Choose files, or drop them on the page. Add as many as you like; each one is turned into pages.
- Drag the pages into the order you want. Select several with Shift or the command key to move them together.
- Press Download.
You do not have to take our word for it
-
Watch the network
The "Nothing is uploaded" button in the app opens a list of every other site the page has contacted since you opened it, and how often, taken from the browser's own record. Your browser's developer tools show every request, this site's own included.
-
Pull the plug
Once the app has loaded, turn off your network and keep working. Text recognition, the document converter and the handwriting fonts work offline too after their first use.
-
Redaction that removes
A page with something blacked out is saved as a picture of itself, so the text under the box is gone, and every redacted page is checked before the file is saved.
Questions
- Is there a limit on how many files or pages?
- There is no limit on how many files or pages. Each file can be up to 1 GB, and very large documents are limited only by what your device can hold in memory.
- Do bookmarks and links survive the merge?
- Yes. Each file's own bookmarks and its links between pages are kept, pointing at the right pages of the merged file. Links to pages you left out are removed rather than left broken.
- What if two files have form fields with the same name?
- The later field is renamed, so filling one does not fill the other, and both forms keep working in the merged file.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Merge PDF is one of the everyday tools, free forever, with no account and no watermark.
