Scan paper pages into a PDF
Scan pages finds the sheet of paper in each photo and shows its corners for you to check, with a magnifier under your finger. Then it straightens the page to its true shape, as if it had been scanned flat, and puts it on A4, Letter or Legal when it is one of those. On a phone it takes the photos with the camera; on a computer it uses photos you choose. All of it happens on your device.

How to do it
- Press Scan pages and take a photo of the page, or choose one.

- Press Add another page for each further page, then Open as a new stitch.
- Press Download.
You do not have to take our word for it
-
Watch the network
The "Nothing is uploaded" button in the app opens a list of every other site the page has contacted since you opened it, and how often, taken from the browser's own record. Your browser's developer tools show every request, this site's own included.
-
Pull the plug
Once the app has loaded, turn off your network and keep working. Text recognition, the document converter and the handwriting fonts work offline too after their first use.
-
Redaction that removes
A page with something blacked out is saved as a picture of itself, so the text under the box is gone, and every redacted page is checked before the file is saved.
Questions
- Does it need a phone?
- No. On a computer, Scan pages uses photos you choose, several at once, and does the same with each.
- What if the page is not found?
- The corners start at the corners of the photo, and you drag each onto a corner of the page. A page on a darker desk or table is found best.
- What size are the pages?
- A page the shape of A4, Letter or Legal goes on that paper. Any other shape, such as a receipt, keeps its own and fits inside A4.
- Are my photos uploaded?
- No. The page is found and straightened on your device, with nothing fetched for it, so it works offline once loaded.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Scan to PDF is one of the everyday tools, free forever, with no account and no watermark.
