Convert Excel spreadsheets to PDF
Spreadsheets are turned into PDF pages as they come in: Excel, OpenDocument and CSV. Their cells come across as tables, shown as the spreadsheet shows them, each sheet on pages of its own under its name. Charts are drawn as simple bar charts, and you are told when something was left out or simplified.

How to do it
- Choose files and pick your spreadsheets, or drop them on the page.
- Check the pages, and remove any you do not need.
- Press Download.
You do not have to take our word for it
-
Watch the network
The "Nothing is uploaded" button in the app opens a list of every other site the page has contacted since you opened it, and how often, taken from the browser's own record. Your browser's developer tools show every request, this site's own included.
-
Pull the plug
Once the app has loaded, turn off your network and keep working. Text recognition, the document converter and the handwriting fonts work offline too after their first use.
-
Redaction that removes
A page with something blacked out is saved as a picture of itself, so the text under the box is gone, and every redacted page is checked before the file is saved.
Questions
- What happens to charts?
- Each is drawn as a simple bar chart of its data, whatever kind of chart it was, and the app tells you when something else was left out or simplified.
- Are hidden columns left out?
- Yes. Hidden sheets, rows and columns are left out, as a printout leaves them out. They are still in your own spreadsheet file, so do not share that if they should stay private.
- Which files can I convert?
- Excel .xlsx, OpenDocument .ods and .csv files.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Excel to PDF is one of the everyday tools, free forever, with no account and no watermark.
