Convert Word documents to PDF

Word, OpenDocument and RTF files are turned into PDF pages as they come in, in your browser. The layout is rebuilt rather than printed by Word, so complex documents can come out looking different; you see every page before you download.

Questions

Will it look exactly like Word?
Not always. The text comes across, with headings, lists, tables and pictures, on the document's own pages: their size, margins, headers and footers. But the layout is rebuilt rather than printed by Word, and the fonts differ: text is set in Helvetica, Times or Courier, and other scripts in the Noto fonts. You see every page before you download.
Which languages come out right?
Most of the world's: languages written in Latin, Greek or Cyrillic letters, Arabic and Hebrew, Hindi and the other Devanagari languages, Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The fonts for a script are fetched from this site the first time a document needs them, and kept for offline use. Emoji and some symbols are left out, and you are told when that happens.
Does it need a network?
Only the first time: the converter is fetched from this site when you first convert a document, and kept for offline use after that.
Is it free?
Yes. Word to PDF is one of the everyday tools, free forever, with no account and no watermark.
