Fill in a PDF form
Fill a PDF's own form fields on the page: text, tick boxes, options and lists. The fields keep working in the downloaded file, or can be locked so the answers become part of the page.
Yes. Fill PDF form is one of the everyday tools, free forever, with no account and no watermark. Pricing
How to do it
- Open your PDF form and double-click a page to open it large.
- Click into the fields and fill them in.
- Press Download. To lock the answers, turn on Lock filled-in forms in Document properties first.
You do not have to take our word for it
-
Watch the network
The "Nothing is uploaded" button in the app opens a list of every other site the page has contacted since you opened it, and how often, taken from the browser's own record. Your browser's developer tools show every request, this site's own included.
-
Pull the plug
Once the app has loaded, turn off your network and keep working. Text recognition, the document converter and the handwriting fonts work offline too after their first use.
-
Redaction that removes
A page with something blacked out is saved as a picture of itself, so the text under the box is gone, and every redacted page is checked before the file is saved.
Questions
- Which fields can I fill?
- Text fields, tick boxes, radio buttons and choice lists.
- Will the form still work after I download it?
- Yes, unless you turn on Lock filled-in forms, which fixes the answers into the page.
- Why can a form not be filled?
- Some forms are built only for Adobe Reader (dynamic XFA forms). The app says so and suggests printing it to a PDF from Adobe Reader first.
- Is it free?
- Yes. Fill PDF form is one of the everyday tools, free forever, with no account and no watermark.
